The working hours are flexible and will be allocated by mutual agreement. This is an unpaid internship but we will work closely with you to get a credit for the internship as part of your training.

To be considered for an internship applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Advanced student of cultural sciences, social sciences, humanities or a related field
  • Possess first experiences in organizing events
  • Sound research skills
  • Show an interest in the relationship between Africa and Europe, in addition to migration and integration
  • Work under minimal supervision, display a sense of responsibility and flexibility
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Sound computer skills
  • A good command of the German language
  • English and French language skills are a plus


  • Support our events by research, event planning, updating our databases and contributing to our newsletter
  • Maintaining and updating our mailing lists
  • Communicating with our partners, such as foundations, schools and embassies
  • Support our administrative work
