Sustainable Development Goals 2030
- What does the term development cooperation generally mean?
- And what does it imply as a recommended course of action for Germany and the African Diaspora?
The participants will to analyze which projects in development cooperation according to their information are currently being realized and which target group is reached. Moreover, we be shall discuss how relevant these projects are and which objectives and target groups are being left out.
After summing up the results of the smaller groups we will offer the participants the opportunity to learn from two examples of failed projects of development cooperation. Most of the time attention is only diverted to “best practice” examples, which invite to be imitated. Yet, there are often innovative projects that fail, especially in the field of development cooperation. Nevertheless, those experiences offer a wonderful opportunity to learn and improve for individuals and organizations.
Thus, we would like to invite two organizations that faced serious challenges when trying to realize their project, or even failed with it, to share their knowledge with the participants of the workshop und work on new approaches or solutions to the obstacles they faced.
